Welcome to the APAC Trusted Media Summit

The Trusted Media Summit is an annual conference that has convened since 2018, bringing together journalists, fact-checkers, educators, researchers, activists and policymakers who are fighting misinformation across the Asia-Pacific region.

This is a community for everyone and anyone involved in the space of countering misinformation, with the aim of providing this vibrant and growing group an opportunity to network and share best practices in the areas of fact-checking, verification, news and information literacy and research.

The annual summit is hosted by the Google News Initiative. Over the years, we have partnered with the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), First Draft, DataLEADS, Aliansi Jurnalis Independen (AJI), Taiwan FactCheck Center (TFC), Cofact Thailand, and FactCheck Initiative Japan (FIJ). We are always looking for co-hosts so please feel free to reach out!

If you have friends whom you would like to introduce to the Trusted Media Summit community so they receive updates about the Summit and other programming throughout the year, please send this link to them.
